Dede’s Shrimp Creole

Dede’s Shrimp Creole

Our favorite version of Shrimp Creole features Dede’s Creole Starter Sauce. This recipe will make a gluten-, dairy-, and nut-free healthy meal in less than 20 minutes. Our sauce starts with the Cajun holy trinity – onions, celery and green bell peppers – with a little pope thrown in – that would be the garlic! Stewed tomatoes and Louisiana spices round out the recipe. It’s the perfect start to a yummy Shrimp Creole.

It will bring you back to the bayou!

Ingredients:

1 jar of Dede’s Cajun Cuisine Creole Starter Sauce

3 cups of cooked rice (1 cup dry rice, follow cooking instructions on rice package)

1 lb of shrimp (20-25 large shrimp)

Chopped green onions for taste and garnish (both green and white parts)

A few shakes of Dede’s Cajun Cuisine Red Hot Sauce, if you want to spice it up a little

Instructions:

  1. Heat one jar of Dede’s Cajun Cuisine Creole Starter Sauce in a large sauce pan
  2. Add shrimp. Cook until the shrimp turn pink about 3-4 minutes
  3. Serve over rice
  4. Add green onions and hot sauce individually, as desired

Additional ideas:

Get creative and add different proteins or serve over different grains or pasta to make it your own. Serve with your favorite vegetable or salad. Don’t forget to add a little spice with Dede’s Cajun Cuisine Hot Sauce.
